In Front of God and Everybody

The Last year Mark Twain Challenge

By K.D. Mc Crite

Have you ever been afraid of a complete stranger? April Grace is afraid of 2 people when trouble comes to town. Their names are Isabel and Ian ,-the two I's. The two snots from California "are going back to their roots". Isabel calls everyone in town hillbillies. April thinks Zachary county is not a hillbilly town. She has been bullied by 2 grown-ups about this hillbilly thing already.
April thinks she's having the life of her dreams until ole' man Rance splits grandma and April apart.   Mr. Rance is digging up trouble. He is caught multiple times digging around in her grandmas stuff. April is suspicious about his recent grief -his wife dying. Lily and Mike are good Christians who invite the snots into their home in exchange for work and a fix up on their old house. This is a burden on Ian's shoulders because of Isabel. Isabel is on a diet, the skinny thing lead Myra Sue ( April's sister ) into sickness and snottiness. Grandma has been waiting and is given a makeover by Isabel. April is told to get an evening bag and discovers old man Rance being suspicious again. Uh oh! Read to see the amazing Isabel in action and discover Rance's truth!
