Mark Twain Book Review

I read the books Rain Reign, All Four Stars, Zane And the Hurricane, and Half A Chance. Although I like them all, out of the four I think my favorite is All Four Stars because, this young girl is passionate about something in this case cooking and even though she runs into trouble along the way, like her parents not liking that she loves to cook and hat she had to pretend to be an adult, well not only an adult but a restaurant reviewer, she is very confident about cooking, something she loves and loves a lot, so she doesn't  give up on her cooking dream. She inspires me to do something more important in life and to follow my dreams no matter what. I love that the author put in so much detail into her book and how she started with a simple idea and created a wonderful story out of it. I also like this book because I like the topic, cooking, I love the thought the author put into the story, plus I love all the planning that happens, how to get to New York, how to keep her cooking, a secret. The end of the story leaves me hanging too, will she get in trouble? How will her parents react to her secret identity? That's why I like the book All Four Stars.

The Cowardly lion from the Wizard of Oz

For Halloween I was the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz

These are a few things I told people who asked who I was: I said I was the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz who went to the wizard seeking some courage. When I got there the wizard was a fraud, but he knew one thing for sure: I had the courage in me the entire time! Now I prowl the forest of Oz proud and brave as ever!

The Big Book of Boy Stuff

Are you into boy stuff? Do you ever wish there was a big non-fiction book with a variety of topics every boy loves? Well, you sure are in luck. Behold, The Big Book of Boy Stuff.

Do you want to see dumb directions on products like “If milk is mixed with poison, don’t drink milk. It will be poisonous.” Learn new recipes like cinnamon toast and grilled cheese. Have a laugh with some sick jokes and learn insults like a good friend would. Don’t answer anything in the “Rhetorical Questions” chapter. Test your stomach in the “Gross Stuff” chapter.
There’s something for everyone. Do you want to learn, laugh, and maybe even shed a tear or two (Because your laughing so hard)? If so, I highly recommend that you read The Big Book of Boy Stuff by Bart King.

Here is my source.

Winter Wonders

Enjoy my winter poem                         Winter Wonders By:Amanda

          Snowflakes are falling,

          Through the town
          Then the hail,
          Starts pounding down,
          When the children,
          Fill with fright,
          Their mothers say,
           It’s alright,
           When day time comes,
            Leave your bed,
            Don’t forget to look ahead,
            Get some snow,
             And a hat,
             Then you might make,
             Frosty come back,
             When the sun,
              Starts to shine,
              It’s the end,
              Of wintertime,
              Don’t feel gloomy,
              Don’t feel sad,
              Summertime,
              Should make you glad.

Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy

Have you read Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy? Oh, wow, you haven't? Gosh, I have to tell you about it. It is basically about a young dragon named Clay, who is part of an important prophecy along with his four other friends, Tsunami, Starflight, Sunny, and Glory. They are all from different tribes (species) and they are all supposed to stop a war. Anyway here is their prophecy:

When the war has lasted twenty years...
the dragonets will come.
When the land is soaked with blood and tears...
The dragonets will come.

Find the SeaWing egg of deepest blue.
Wings of night shall come to you.
The largest egg in the mountain high
will give to you the wings of sky.
For wings of earth, search through the mud
for an egg the color of dragon blood.
And hidden alone from the rival queens,
the SandWing egg awaits unseen.

Of three queens who blister and blaze and burn,

two shall die and one shall learn
if she bows to a fate that is stronger and higher,
she'll have the power of wings of fire.

five eggs to hatch on the brightest night,

five dragons born to end the fight.
Darkness will rise to bring the light.
The dragonets are coming...

So as you can see, Clay and his friends are really important and all that jazz. Blister, Blaze, and Burn will do anything they can to get their claws on the dragonets. Can Clay and his friends stay alive and save the world? Read Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy!
But of course, that is only the beginning of the series. I read the whole series toward the beginning of this year, and I'm telling you, it's a real page-turner! There are 8 books released so far, and a 9th coming in December! Each book is from a different perspective, but still keeps the same characters. For example the first book is told by Clay, and the second is told by Tsunami. There are also a few build-offs of the series such as Winglets and Legends. But I really do hope that you decide to start reading this series!
